Steven Bertels

With a commitment to outstanding patient care and a relentless drive for continuous improvement, Steven brings together clinical expertise, innovation, and genuine compassion in every aspect of his work. He takes a thoughtful, client-centred approach, ensuring each prosthetic or orthotic solution is tailored to support long-term outcomes, functional independence, and quality of life.
Steven’s involvement in the industry has developed an exceptional knowledge of prosthetic and orthotic treatment in both the public and private sector, providing prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation services for clients in The Netherlands, Tibet, New Zealand and Australia, participation in numerous rehabilitation courses, conferences and educational programs, including a two year lectureship at Mahidol University, Thailand’s leading public research university in medical and health sciences.
Steven graduated from Kempen University (Belgium) in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. In 2010 he graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Steven has been a certified prosthetist and orthotist with the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association since 2008.

Joyce is the organisational heart of the business, keeping everything running smoothly, from day-to-day operations to behind-the-scenes coordination. Mother of our two children and a lifelong lover of the ocean, she’s also an avid sailor and an active member of the Sailability program at the Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club, where she helps make sailing accessible to all. Her passion for people and community shines through in every aspect of her work.
